What We Do

Character & Leadership

Torch Club is a "Club within the Club," helping to meet the special character- developmental needs of younger adolescents at a critical stage in their life.

Youth of the Year is Boys & Girls Clubs of America's premier recognition program. It is our signature effort to foster a new generation of leaders, fully prepared to live and lead in a diverse, global and intergrated worked economy.

Career Development

Junior Staff is a small- group program that is both practical and user friendly. It assists Club members ages 13 to 18 in exploring a career in youth or human services, particularly Boys & Girls Club work.

DIY STEM is a hands-on, activity-based STEM curriculum which connects youth aged 9 to 12 to science themes they encounter regularly. Special attention is paid to connections of theory and application and the common interactions members have with these scientific principles.

Money Matters provides Club staff and volunteers with basic financial information and instructions for the small-group activites that are easy to implement. The fun, attractive Teen Personal  Finance Guide contains practical tips and activities to help teens learn to balance a checkbook, create a budget, and save and invest for college and retirement

Power Hour: Making Minutes Count provides Club professionals with strategies, activities, resources and information to create an engaging homework help and tutoring program that encourages Club members of every age to become self-directed learners.

Project Learn reinforces the academic enrichment and school engagement of young people during the time they spend at the Club. Students do much better in school when they spend their non-school hours engaged in fun, but academically beneficial activities. Project Learn also emphasizes parent involvement as well as collaboration between Club and school professionals .

MY.FUTURE provides members with a safe, fun, digital platform to showcase their work and earn recognition in the form of stars, badges, and master badges. It's a space where kids can interact with each other - free from the prospects of cyberbullying - and share their accomplishments locally and nationally.
